"Empowering Marbella: Unleashing a Wave of Women's Safety in the Face of Predatory Threats at the Festival"

"Marbella Festival Unleashes a Radiant Wave of Women's Safety: Fun, Awareness, and No-Nonsense!"

Get ready for a week of exhilaration and empowerment at the upcoming San Bernabé Fair and Festivities in Marbella from June 6 to June 12. This year, the festival isn't just about rides, music, and delicious food; it's also taking a stand for women's safety like never before.

The Marbella Council has teamed up with renowned experts to tackle the pressing issue of sexual predators and the dangers faced by women. On Wednesday, June 7, the brilliant Dr. Carmen Agüera will take the stage to unveil the sneaky tricks of drink spiking and chemical submission – favourite tactics of those vile predators. This talk is aimed at our local heroes, the esteemed members of the Local Police and Civil Protection, to equip them with knowledge about the substances used, symptoms to watch out for, and how to respond swiftly and efficiently.

But that's not all! Dr. Patricia Alemán, along with nurses Teresa Báez and María José Serrano from the Costa del Sol Hospital, will charm an audience of approximately 400 cool secondary school students. Their mission? To educate these young minds on recognizing sexual abuse, providing them with the information they need to seek help if they ever find themselves victims or witnesses.

The festival's sixth consecutive year of prevention campaigns will also feature a designated contact point. At this magical spot, the Equality Delegation's finest experts and law enforcement personnel will be on hand, ready to offer invaluable advice, information, and support in the face of sexist aggression.

And let's not forget the fashion-forward aspect of this epic event! Brace yourself – literally – for fashionable bracelets carrying bold messages like 'Harassing is not flirting' and 'Only yes is yes.' We're spreading the word in style! Plus, as a timely reminder to all party-goers, we'll be distributing lids for your glasses, because nothing spoils the fun like unwanted substances finding their way into your beverage.

So, get your dancing shoes ready, your voices prepared to roar, and your spirits lifted for a Marbella Festival that goes beyond the norm. Join us in celebrating women's safety, enlightenment, and a dose of unforgettable fun. Together, we can create a vibrant and secure environment for everyone!
